Our approach
Everyone should be able to explore PiHOT, compare products and get support. We aim to make our online store easier to use for people with visual, hearing, motor and cognitive disabilities.
Our accessibility improvement goal is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. These guidelines help make web content more usable for more people. We have not completed a comprehensive accessibility audit and do not claim that every page or shopping step meets this standard.
This statement covers the PiHOT online store at pihots.com. It describes website access, rather than the accessibility of our physical products or their companion apps.
Support built into the store
The current storefront theme includes the following features. Their presence does not guarantee that every interaction is accessible:
- Skip to content: a link near the start of each page lets keyboard users move past the main navigation.
- Keyboard focus: navigation links and many controls include visible focus indicators.
- Reduced motion: many custom animations respond to your device’s Reduce Motion preference. Some media and third-party features may behave differently.
- Image text: product images can provide alternative text, with product-name fallbacks in several shopping components. The detail and quality of descriptions can vary.
- Responsive layouts: page layouts adapt to different screen sizes. Some complex shopping controls still need further checks at high zoom.
Ways to use the website
- Using a keyboard: press Tab to move forward through links and controls, and Shift + Tab to move back. Press Enter to follow a link; buttons usually accept Enter or Space. Use the Skip to content link when it appears.
- Making text larger: use your browser’s zoom or text-size settings. If a control becomes difficult to use when enlarged, email us with the page address and what you were trying to do.
- Reducing movement: turn on Reduce Motion in your device’s accessibility settings. This reduces supported animations on the store, although it may not stop every video or embedded feature.
- Using assistive technology: use the browser and assistive tools that work best for you. Compatibility across screen readers, browsers and devices has not been fully verified. Let us know if something prevents you from continuing.
Areas that need more work
Accessibility is not yet fully verified across the store. Based on a review of the current theme, the following areas need further testing or improvement:
- Images and media: product-name alternatives may not explain important visual details. Complete coverage of descriptive alternatives, video captions and transcripts has not been verified.
- Interactive shopping: menus, search suggestions, product galleries, option selectors, cart updates and pop-ups need end-to-end keyboard and screen-reader testing, including focus order and announcements.
- Readability and enlargement: text contrast, form focus indicators, touch targets and layouts at high zoom need further review across all page types.
- Services beyond the theme: checkout, payment options, chat and other embedded services may have different accessibility behavior. The theme review does not establish their accessibility.
If any part of the store blocks you, contact us directly. You do not need to complete checkout or use live chat to report a problem.
Get help or report a barrier
Email support@pihots.com with the subject “Website accessibility help”, or use our contact page. Email is available if the form or chat is difficult to use.
You can ask for help understanding product information, comparing options, navigating the store or obtaining information in another format. Tell us what would help; our team can discuss the available options with you.
When reporting an issue, please include what you can:
- The page address and what you were trying to do.
- What happened or which information you could not access.
- Your browser, device and assistive technology, if relevant.
- Your preferred way for us to reply and any format you need.
You do not need to share a diagnosis or medical information. Please do not send passwords or payment-card details.
About this statement
This statement was prepared from a review of the storefront theme and publicly available page content on November 2, 2026. That review identified accessibility-related features and areas needing further checks; it was not an independent certification or a complete test with disabled users, assistive technology or every checkout flow.
The improvement priorities identified are keyboard access and focus, clear labels and status messages, readable contrast, layouts at high zoom, and useful alternatives for visual and video content.
